Nolwenn Le Biavan worked with us until August 2023. She worked on material growth and characterization of active regions of QCLs. 

Sergej Markmann worked with us until September 2022. He worked on doppler based spectroscopy and TDS measurement in the THz domain. 

Martin Frankié worked with us until August 2022. He worked on improving active regions designs together with simulations tools such as NEGF. 

Johannes Hillbrand worked with us until October 2021. He worked on Dual Comb spectroscopy with mid-IR QCLs and passive waveguides. 

Bo Meng worked with us until September 2021. He worked on phonon-polariton lasers, Zinc-oxide quantum well devices and ring QCLs.

Ruijun Wang worked with us until January 2021. He worked on tapered QCL frequency combs and passive-active monolithically integrated devices.

Mehran Shahmohammadi worked with us until February 2020. He worked both the mid-infrared and terahertz QCLs.

Shuai Wang worked with us until May 2019. He was focusing on mid-infrared frequency combs.

Elena Mavrona worked with us until March 2019. She worked on THz spectroscopy and characterizations.

Keita Otani worked with us until December 2017. He worked on Raman spectroscoy, phonon-polariton lasers, and QCLs.

Yong Liang worked with us until October 2017. He was focusing on photonic crystal QCLs.

Pierre Jouy worked with us until 2017. He worked on mid-infrared QCLs and frequency combs.

Martin Süess worked in Faist group from June 2014 to September 2016 on the Mirsens II project, developing dual-color MIR-QCLs for sensing.

David Stark completed his thesis in November 2023, with the title "Quantum Cascade Lasers Architectures for Dense Integration".

Urban Senica completed his thesis in November 2023, with the title "Broadband integrated photonics with planarized terahertz quantum cascade lasers ".

Philipp Täschler completed his thesis in October 2023, with the title "Short and Ultrashort Pulse Generation from Quantum Cascade Lasers".

Tudor Olariu completed his thesis in December 2022, with the title "Terahertz Quantum Cascade Lasers as Local Oscillators for Astronomy".

Felice Appugliese completed his thesis in May 2022, with the title "Breakdown of topological protection by cavity vacuum fileds in the integer quantum Hall effect".

Fabiana Settembrini completed her thesis in March 2022, with the title "Characterizing the space-time correlation of quantum vacuum". 

Shima Rajabali completed her thesis in December 2021, with the title "Ultrastrong light-matter coupling at the nanoscale".

Andres Forrer completed his thesis in December 2021, with the title "RF Control and Coherence Spectroscopy of THz Quantum Cascade Laser Frequency Combs".

Matthew Singleton completed his thesis in October 2021, with the title "Combs in Quantum Cascade Lasers: Linear Chirp and Compression".

Zhixin Wang completed his thesis in October 2021, with the title "Large-area Photonic Crystal Quantum Cascade Lasers and Low-dissipation Quantum Cascade Lasers".

Filippos Kapsalidis completed his thesis in July 2021, with the title "Mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers: dual-wavelength DFBs, dispersion engineering and RF-injection control of frequency combs".

Lorenzo Bosco completed his thesis in July 2019, with the title "THz Quantum Cascade Laser: astrophysical applications and high temperature performance".

Janine Keller completed her thesis in December 2018, with the title "Ultra-strong light-matter coupling of 2D electron and hole gases with metallic and superconducting metamaterials".

Gian Lorenzo Paravicini Bagliani completed his thesis in December 2018, with the title "Magneto-transport in engineered vacuum fields".

Ileana-Cristina Benea-Chelmus completed her thesis in March 2018. The title of her dissertation is "Terahertz Quantum Optics with Ultra-Short Pulses".

Yves Bidaux completed his thesis in September 2017, with the title "Mode selection and dispersion engineering in mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers".

Johanna Wolf completed her thesis in August 2017. She worked on Mid-infrared QCLs.

Sabine Riedi finished her thesis in June 2016, on the topic of "Broadband mid-Infrared Quantum Cascade Lasers for Spectroscopic Application in External Cavity".

Markus Geiser completed his thesis in January 2014, with the title "Intersubband Polaritons: Ultra Strong Coupling and THz Emitters".
